What is a fully internal air conditioner and why do I need one?

Air conditioning has been around for many years. Everyone is familiar with conventional air conditioning systems, like the ones you see on holiday with ugly boxes hanging out of windows, but not so much with internal air conditioners.

Unfortunately, in London apartments, whether new builds or listed, several constraints will not allow you to make penetrations outside or physically have an external box.

That’s where Cool You comes in.

Our solution is no compromise, top quality, completely internal air conditioner. This means you won’t need to drill holes in the exterior walls or physically put something outside.

This is how it works:

A unit is mounted to the wall in the room that you’d like to cool. That unit is connected to a condenser located in a concealed spot in your flat, such as a utility space, a boiler room, or some other creative solution.

These two units are connected with refrigeration pipework that can be hidden in cavity walls or the ceiling. This means you won’t have to see anything.

The internal air conditioning system works like a conventional refrigeration cycle. As cooled gas flows into the wall-mounted unit, warm air from the room passes over a coil, chilling the room. The heat is transferred via the circuit back to the condenser, where the water is used to remove heat from the system.

The benefit of an internal air conditioner is that you can have a full air conditioning system without having to put anything on the outside of the building. It’s a perfect solution for anyone living in a listed property or somewhere with strict regulations.
