We recently completed the installation of an internal air conditioning (AC) system in an apartment in Fountain Court, Windsor. Nestled within the Inner Windsor Conservation Area in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, this apartment often becomes uncomfortably warm during the hotter months due to its modern insulation and large glass areas, thus making internal AC vital for any apartment in Fountain Court.

The owners faced challenges finding a suitable cooling solution because planning restrictions prohibited the installation of a traditional external condenser box. They also couldn’t drill into the building’s exterior walls. As a result, they turned to us for help in ensuring their apartment in Fountain Court was properly air-conditioned with internal AC.

We installed a highly energy-efficient DC inverter water-cooled internal condenser air conditioning system to tackle these issues. We also placed three water-cooled condensers in the boiler room: two in a suspended custom-made cradle system and one at floor level. These condensers work in unison to provide energy-efficient, whisper-quiet high-wall units. The units are in both bedrooms and the living room, efficiently air-conditioning the apartment in Fountain Court.

Our technical team expertly connected the refrigerant pipework between the condensers and the room units. This was done by utilising the apartment’s ceiling void. This approach ensured that all the pipework remained discreetly concealed. It resulted in minimal disruption to the existing décor and layout in the Fountain Court apartment that needed air conditioning.

Importantly, our air conditioning systems did not require planning permission in this apartment, which significantly streamlined our installation process. This aspect provided tremendous relief for the owners and underscored the peace of mind our services deliver when installing internal AC in Fountain Court.

Internal AC to air condition an apartment in Fountain Court: For this project, we installed:

2 x 3.5 kW water-cooled DC Inverter condensers
1 x 5.3 kW water-cooled DC Inverter condenser

This served:
1 x 3.5 kW (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit in the master bedroom
1 x 3.5 kW (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit in the second bedroom
1 x 3.5 kW (18,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit in the living room area of the Fountain Court apartment.
