The Installation of Fully Internal Air Conditioning in Apartments in Milles Square, Brixton
We recently installed air conditioning within a new south-facing duplex apartment set within the Brixton Square development, a collection of 155 new apartments on Brixton’s Coldharbour Lane.
Being south-facing with a large glass area, the apartment gets very hot. As with many new apartment buildings, the owner was not allowed to fit traditional external condenser boxes. Nor were they allowed to drill any holes in the external walls of the building.
The most appropriate solution available was our internal condenser air conditioning system. This air conditioning system allows everything to be retained within the apartment.
As part of this installation, two water-cooled internal condensers were installed in a storage room beside the boiler room. Quiet DC inverter high wall units were fitted in the master bedroom and the lower living/bedroom area.
Our engineers connected the refrigerant pipework between the condenser and the room units with minimal disruption to the existing decor.
No planning permission was required to fit our air conditioning systems in this apartment.
For this project, we installed:
2 x 3.5 Kw DC Inverter water cooled condensers
1 x cooling wall mounted unit in the master bedroom
1 x cooling wall mounted unit in the lower living/bedroom area
