Internal Condenser (Water Cooled) Air Conditioning Installation Case Study
The owner of this Kensington apartment within Allen Mansions wanted air conditioning to improve the air quality within the property.
Sited in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Conservation Area, the owner had to find a solution that conformed to planning laws that prevent the use of a standard air conditioning system with an external condenser box.
Cool You UK was approached specifically because of our expertise in air conditioning listed buildings and apartments within conservation areas. We worked closely with the client to find a solution to air condition the master bedroom and large living room.
The system is totally contained within the apartment and connected to the apartments’ services. The internal condensers were installed in the study with a custom made cupboard produced to house them. These were linked with concealed pipework to high wall units within the master bedroom and living room
Our team planned the installation in detail to work within the owner’s schedule whilst other works were going on in the property. The air conditioning systems were fully installed in two working days. On completion of the handover, our client was delighted and commented, “Fantastic job and what a difference to my quality of living”.
This is one of a growing number of projects that Cool You UK have undertaken in listed buildings and properties that are in conservation areas, where more conventional air conditioning systems were impossible to install due to planning restrictions.
For this project we installed:
2 x 3.8kw High Wall Units
2 x 3.8kw Internal Water Condensing Units
