Cool You UK has recently completed the installation of air conditioning systems in several apartments at Flagstaff House. This building is part of St George Wharf, a landmark development on the River Thames’s south bank.
While the extensive glazing in these contemporary apartments allows for breathtaking river views, it also contributes to significant heat buildup inside. Therefore, the owners installed air conditioning to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout their living spaces. However, the unique design of the building posed challenges; specifically, they could not implement a traditional external condenser box or drill through the external walls for a through-the-wall system.
Installing Apartment Air Conditioning – How We Do it!
Consequently, our team opted for a more innovative approach using our unique water-cooled air conditioning system. This revolutionary solution keeps all components within the apartment and connects to the existing cold water supply and wastewater pipework.
We installed the water condenser under the kitchen sink and integrated it into the water system. Next, we fitted a 7kw/24000btu water-cooled high-wall unit in the kitchen/living area. We carefully ran the necessary pipework through the ceiling void, effectively concealing it from view. Thanks to our highly skilled installation teams and meticulous planning, we completed each installation in just one day, ensuring we left no mess or damage to the apartment’s decor.
Furthermore, since our water-cooled air conditioning system does not require planning permission, the owners had a hassle-free experience.
