A CASE STUDY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF INTERNAL DC INVERTER WATER COOLED CONDENSERS TO AIR CONDITION TWO CONTEMPORARY APARTMENTS
High Banks is a recently completed apartment complex in the centre of Southend with many of the apartments having panoramic views out to sea. With direct fast trains to London Liverpool Street, many residents work in London, while enjoying the lifestyle of coastal living!
For Cool You, this was a typical install in a non-typical location.
Explaining, Julian Peyser said, “Cool You do not generally install outside of Greater London, but because a number of owners combined and committed to the Cool You promise of 100% being able to air condition completely internally, their apartments, and they also committed to our price point for supply and install, we have now completed the air conditioning of two apartments”.
Like many of our core London customers’ apartments, High Banks is incredibly well insulated, with large panoramic windows, so suffers from the same internal heat build up we encounter in the capital.
This is bearable during the winter months, with the owners rarely having to use their heating in winter. But during spring and summer, the temperatures become excessive.
To have a comfortable environment during the spring and summer, the owners wanted air conditioning for cooling and dehumidifying. However, due to restrictions, they are not allowed to have any air conditioning fitted that used an outside condenser, even if they had a terrace or balcony.
The only solution available was our energy efficient DC inverter water cooled internal condenser air conditioning system that allows everything to be retained within the apartments.
For both installations, which were completed in a day, an internal condenser was installed in each apartments boiler/utility room. These served energy efficient, quiet, DC inverter high wall units to cool and dehumidify the open plan kitchen/living rooms.
Our technical team were able to connect and hide the refrigerant pipework between the condensers and the room units. In one apartment the room unit was on an adjoining wall and in the other, the pipework was fed through the ceiling void. There was no disruption to the existing decor within either apartment.
Our customers, Matthew and Yvette were delighted with the installation and commented, “A very proactive day from your team and a successful end to our plight in providing an air conditioning solution. May we thank you for ending our stressful situation and bid you a prosperous and enjoyable future with your lifesaving company. Thank god Cool You identified the problems we and other apartment owners have in this crazy world”.
No planning permission was required to fit our air conditioning systems.
In each apartment / flat we installed:
One3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter water cooled condenser
Open Plan Kitchen / Living Room: 3.5kw (12,000 Btu) DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
