A CASE STUDY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF INTERNAL DC INVERTER WATER COOLED CONDENSERS TO AIR CONDITION A CONTEMPORARY APARTMENT
This apartment, located within the iconic London building (originally British Gas Head Office), is situated on the north side of the River Thames in Pimlico next to Vauxhall Bridge. Like many modern apartments, this building has a very large glass area and gets very warm. The owners wanted air conditioning, but due to restrictions, they were not allowed to fit a traditional external condenser box or drill any external holes.
The only solution available to air condition this apartment was our internal condenser air conditioning system that allowed everything to be retained within the apartment.
For this installation, a water-cooled condenser was installed in the hallway utility cupboard, to supply an energy-efficient, quiet, DC Inverter high wall unit in the open plan kitchen/living room area.
Our technical team were able to connect the refrigerant pipework between the condenser and the room unit using the cavity wall, enabling all the pipework to be concealed. Throughout the installation, there was minimal disruption to the existing decoration.
No planning permission was required to fit our air conditioning system in this apartment.
For this projects we installed:
1 x 5.3kw DC Inverter water-cooled condenser
Kitchen/Living Room 1 x 5.3kw DC Inverter cooling high wall unit
