Air Conditioning Flats in the Point West Building
Cool You UK have recently installed air conditioning within several flats
in the Point West Building in South Kensington
Planning restrictions prevented the use of an external condenser box. Also, holes could not be drilled in outside walls. The only viable solution for the apartment owners was our state of the art water-cooled air conditioning system. Our system allows everything to be retained within the apartment.
The small and quiet condenser unit was installed under the sink in the kitchen. The pipework was fed through the ceiling void keeping it out of sight. The whisper-quiet high wall unit was fitted in the main living room/kitchen area of the apartment, neutralising heat build-up throughout.
No planning permission is required to fit our water-cooled air conditioning systems (the Point West Management Team was consulted at all stages for approval) – in simple terms, it is a plumbing and electrical installation similar to fitting an additional dishwasher or washing machine.
For these apartments a typical install would be:
● A state of the art DC Inverter Internal Condenser that serves a whisper-quiet High Wall Room Unit in the open-plan kitchen/living/dining area.
