We undertook a challenging yet rewarding project to install air conditioning in an apartment at Herbal Hill Gardens, Clerkenwell, London. The project was part of a comprehensive refurbishment of their home. Although the owners were initially told that effective cooling in their unique living space was impossible, we were determined to find a solution.

Moreover, regulations prevented the installation of a conventional external condenser unit or drilling into the building’s exterior walls. We proposed our advanced water-cooled internal condenser air conditioning system to address these challenges. This system encapsulates all necessary components within the apartment, adhering to building regulations while maximising efficiency and aesthetics.

Technical Installation Details

During the technical installation, we strategically placed a triple DC Inverter condenser within the utility cupboard. This clever placement allowed us to integrate the air conditioning system seamlessly with the apartment’s existing services without compromising space or style.

We then installed three high-wall units in key living areas: one in the main living room and one in each of the two bedrooms. We specifically selected these units for their quiet operation, ensuring the residents enjoyed a serene atmosphere and comfort. Furthermore, we meticulously installed all pipework within the ceiling void, creating a clean and unobtrusive appearance that complemented the apartment’s modern interior design.
