A Fully Internal Air Conditioning Case Study For A Wimbledon Apartment
Cool You UK have installed air conditioning in two apartments at Ashcombe House, a stylish contemporary block situated in this sought after residential location in Wimbledon, London.
Like many modern apartment buildings, Ashcombe House has a large area of glass, and the rooms to be air conditioned are south facing with a kitchen/dining area generating a lot of heat within the apartments.
The owners were not allowed to fit traditional external air conditioning boxes, nor were they allowed to drill any holes in the external walls of the building. To air condition these apartments, the only solution available to the owners was our internal condenser air conditioning system.
The systems are totally contained within the apartments and connected into the apartments’ services. The internal condensers were installed in the apartments’ hall utility cupboards.
A quiet high wall unit was fitted in the kitchen/living area of the apartments. In this case, the utility cupboard was situated adjacent to the room being air conditioned so we were able to run the pipework through the wall into the high wall unit.
No planning permission was required to fit our air conditioning system into these apartments.
For each apartment we installed:
1 x 3.85kw Internal Water Condensing Unit
1 x High Wall Air Conditioning Unit
