, AlA Fully Internal Air Conditioning Case Study For A Wimbledon Apartment

Cool You UK have installed air conditioning in several apartments at Ashcombe House. This stylish contemporary block is in a sought-after residential location in Wimbledon, London.

Like many modern apartment buildings, Ashcombe House has a large glass area. The rooms to be air conditioned are south facing, with a kitchen/dining area generating a lot of heat within the apartments.

The owners were not allowed to fit traditional external air conditioning boxes. Also, they couldn’t drill holes in the external walls of the building. Our internal condenser air conditioning system was the only solution available to the owners to air condition these apartments.

The systems are contained within the apartments and connected to the apartments’ services. The internal condensers were installed in the apartments’ hall utility cupboards.

A quiet high-wall unit was fitted in the kitchen/living area of the apartments. The utility cupboard was adjacent to the room being air-conditioned. This allowed us to run the pipework through the wall into the high wall unit.

No planning permission was required to fit our air conditioning system into these apartments.

For each apartment, we installed:

1 x 3.85kw Internal Water Condensing Unit
1 x High Wall Air Conditioning Unit
