A case study for the installation of an internal DC inverter water-cooled condenser within a modern apartment, situated in the heart of the Shoreditch triangle.
Enjoying an ideal location, this apartment building is just a short distance away from the extensive array of restaurants, boutiques and bars that Shoreditch and Hoxton have to offer. Columbia Road, Brick Lane and Spitalfields Market are all close by and the City is also a short walk away.
Contemporary in design, due to the nature of the building in which the apartment is situated, there are restrictions on the fitting of external air conditioning condensers and also the drilling of holes in the external walls of the building.
Providing a solution to these restrictions of installing air conditioning, we installed an internal condenser air conditioning system. This allowed everything to be retained within the apartment, with no need to fit an external condenser or drill through the external walls of the building.
As part of this installation, a water-cooled internal condenser was installed in the kitchen. This was then linked to a quiet DC inverter high wall unit in the master bedroom.
Our engineers were able to run the refrigerant pipework between the condenser and the room unit with minimal disruption to the existing decor.
Simplifying the process for the apartment’s owners, no planning permission was required for the installation of this air conditioning solution.
For the project at Batemans Row, we installed:
1 x 3.5 Kw DC Inverter water cooled condenser
1 x cooling wall mounted unit in the master bedroom
