Installing air con in a modern apartment building in Wimbledon

Cool You UK have recently installed air conditioning within a second apartment 
at Ashcombe House, A stylish contemporary block situated in this sought after residential location in Wimbledon, London.

As with many contemporary buildings, a lot of glass generates heat, plus the room to be air-conditioned has a kitchen/dining area.

The owners were not allowed to fit a traditional external air conditioning box, nor were they allowed to drill any holes in the external walls of the building. To air condition this apartment, their only solution was to install one of our water cooled air conditioning systems that allow everything to be retained within their apartment.

The water condenser was installed in the apartments’ hall utility cupboard (pic. bottom left) and plumbed into the water system. A quiet 3.8kw (13,0000btu) high wall unit was fitted in the kitchen/living area of the apartment. In this case, the utility cupboard was adjacent to the air-conditioned room, so we could run the pipework through the wall into the high wall unit.

No planning permission was required to fit our water cooled air conditioning system into this apartment.
